Our apprenticeship programme is a key component of our training and development process. We are committed to the training and development of new entrants to the industry through continuous learning and development policies, utilising our training programmes to cross train and enhance the skill sets of our employees.
We hold regular in-house training every 3 months and once a year we have an Apprentice Away Day. These Away Days are hosted by the Group Operations Directors and attended by all Operations Directors to demonstrate our commitment across the business to the development of each member of the programme. As you will see, the events provide a great opportunity to comradery, fun and laughter.
We invest in our apprentices through typically recruiting 6-10 apprenticeships each year, training also includes portfolio support and 1-2-1’s with their line manager and extensive H&S training. We currently have a program with 26 apprentices from Plumbing, Joinery and Electrical, ranging from first to fourth year students.
We develop bespoke programmes to aid each individual’s development during their apprenticeship period, including rotation across Greenview to provide a breadth of experience. We also provide mentoring and other support during their apprenticeship both inside and outside of work.
